Ohio Ballot Protection
Ohio Ballot Protection was born in the summer of 2025, when a small group of women from Northeast Ohio started meeting to discuss how to safeguard democracy close to home.
What began as a few spirited conversations soon evolved into a focused, statewide effort to strengthen fair and transparent elections in Ohio.
Our mission
Educating Ohioans about our unique power of direct democracy and helping protect it for future generations.
Our vision
We envision an Ohio where:
the balance of power remains with the people;
the citizen initiative and referendum process is transparent, fair, resilient, and accessible;
politicians cannot stall or distort the process; and
voters trust the process, understand its importance, and defend their right to use it.
